Hell's Canyon redefines breathtaking. It is the deepest gorge in North America. In the 1960's the Idaho power company built 3 dams. The Hell's Canyon Dam is the third. Beyond it the Snake River winds through the canyon for miles and miles. Photos really don't do it justice. We are fortunate for some cloud cover and a thunderstorm. Temperature dropped from 97 to 87.
